Acupuncture

Acupuncture can be a daunting experience for many individuals, but it is important note that it can be a relaxing and rejuvenating form of medicine. During the initial treatment, a thorough assessment of past and present health conditions is conducted to determine the areas that require attention. The pulses are taken and a glance at the tongue.  Then the insertion of (on average), 7-15 fine needles on the body is then performed, followed by a 25-30 minute relaxation period on a massage table. Throughout the process, the patient's comfort is monitored, and pulses are re-checked for any adjustments that may be needed.

Schedule your first acupuncture treatment today to embark on a journey towards better health and healing.

Natural Medicine/BioResonance

Bio-resonance is a system of medicine distinct and separate from all other forms of medicine practiced today using electromagnetic vibrations of very low frequency, which can transmit information in the human brain, bypassing the usual senses. Of the 10 million units of information only one is recognized, the others are fixed in the subconscious. Information from the subconscious is extracted either spontaneously, or at the level of unusual, altered states of consciousness: hypnosis, dreaming or meditation. The TLC Acupuncture & Natural Medicine bio-resonance method allows the evaluation of the state of bio-energy of each organ individually.
Recognizing that the human body functions chemically, structurally, biologically, and bio-energetically; bio-resonance primarily focuses on correcting or aligning any bio-energetic imbalance in the body. It is believed that such an imbalance will lead to functional imbalances or dis-ease in the body. Bio-resonance is separate from: Naturopathy, Natural Medicine, Osteopathy, Chiropractic and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
TLC Acupuncture and Natural Medicine uses a Body Scan that combines the benefits of bio-resonance, laser acupuncture and auricular medicine. It has shown to be an effective and painless option for both adults and children.

Traditional Chinese Medicine, Variable $

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) originated in China over thousands of years. As a TCM practitioner, I use herbal medicine to treat and prevent health issues or as a complimentary health approach in-between treatments. You will be prescribed a formula specific to your health needs. Cost varies depending on brand, type of herbs and size of formula.

Added Service:

Cupping

$50 1/2 Hour

$20 Add to Acupuncture Treatment

Cupping is an ancient technique, used in many cultures, in which a special cup is applied to the skin and held in place by suction. The suction draws superficial tissue into the cup, which may either be left in place or moved along the body. Cupping brings fresh blood to the area and helps improve circulation. Traditional cupping, sometimes referred to as “fire cupping” which uses heat to create a vacuum-like suction inside of glass cups. In modern times, cups that use a small pump to create suction have been introduced.

Added Service:

Moxibustion (included as needed per practitioner discretion)

Moxibustion involves the heating of acupuncture points with smoldering mugwort herb (known as moxa). Moxibustion stimulates circulation, counteracts cold and dampness in the body, and promotes the smooth flow of blood and qi. This safe, non-invasive technique may be used alone, but it is generally used in conjunction with acupuncture treatment. I use multiple techniques to administer moxa and often suggest at-home treatment to supplement what we can do in the clinic. I love moxa … and you will too!

Sports Acupuncture

We aim to provide the best possible care for athletes by offering a comprehensive and focused treatment plan that integrates the assessment techniques of TCM and sports medicine. Our goal is to enable practitioners to effectively combine these techniques and provide the most effective care.

Microneedling

Just a few sessions of MicroNeedling will strikingly reduce fine lines and deep wrinkles. For most wrinkles on the body, depending on its condition, you may require 4 to 8 MicroNeedling treatments to accomplish the tight, youthful-looking skin that you want.

Initial treatment for new patients $325
Single Session for current TLC patients or Follow-up $275
4-pack Follow-up $1000

Reiki is said by some to be even more relaxing than massage. Reiki is relaxing and centering. Each person who receives Reiki can experience different benefits:

  • feeling re-centered

  • experiencing a heightened sense of awareness

  • enhanced well-being

  • emotional resolution

  • stress reduction

  • reduction in pain and tension

  • inner peace

Added Service:

Tui Na $50

Tui na means “pushing grasping,” and is a powerful form of Chinese medical-bodywork. Based on the same Chinese medical principles as acupuncture, tui na seeks to improve the flow of qi through the meridian channels. Tui na is particularly effective for conditions involving muscles, tendons and joints, such as structural misalignment, orthopedic problems and sports injuries. It can also be used to treat internal diseases.

Added Service: TDP

TDP stands for Teding Diancibo Pu, in Chinese, which translates to “special electromagnetic spectrum” lamp which contains a mineral plate discovered in a mine in China where workers were very healthy. A TDP Lamp is utilized during treatment for very specific circulation problems in the body, which aids in muscle relief by emitting 33 essential minerals into your body. Ultimately this relieves Muscle Pain, Joint Pain, Inflammation and Soft Tissue Injuries, which is good for people with sore muscles, arthritis, bursitis, back ache, tennis elbow and joint pains.
